GTA V Remastered: Ultimate is a map and vegetation project by Larcius. The previous credit to o1network was incorrect. It should not be presented as a verified all-purpose texture and lighting replacement or a guaranteed performance improvement.
Ultimate and free Enhanced are different editions
Larcius provides Ultimate through Patreon access or a direct shop purchase. GTA V Remastered: Enhanced is the separately listed free edition on GTA5-Mods. A free account, a download label or the availability of Enhanced does not establish free access to Ultimate.
The creator’s Ultimate v5.1 changelog describes vegetation additions around the port and eastern Los Santos, reflection-model work and clipping corrections. It does not support the old claim that the advertised addition was specifically in Palomino Highlands. The original article images below are historical illustrations, not evidence of the current package version.
Choose the correct package before installation
The free Enhanced listing separates Singleplayer, FiveM Client and FiveM Server downloads. Its 6.0 release is labelled Singleplayer and adds GTA V Enhanced support; the listed FiveM packages are 5.6. Those numbers describe Enhanced, not a verified current Ultimate download.
For Ultimate, check the actual creator package, supported game edition and included installation instructions before deployment. The previous generic start gta_v_remastered command was not verified against an Ultimate archive. Back up the current map resources and test overlapping vegetation, collisions and loading on a separate server before replacing anything.
Development status and review scope
In May 2025 Larcius announced that he was moving on from GTA V modding. Continued update and active-support promises are therefore removed. Check the creator’s own announcements before depending on future maintenance.
This review checked public creator documentation and the two original image files. No paid package was acquired, installed or benchmarked. The corrected links lead to the creator and clearly distinguish the free alternative.
