HKN Works Handling Editor is a standalone vehicle-tuning resource. The creator’s Cfx.re release separates a free escrow edition from a paid source edition. Free use does not mean all source files or UI customization rights are included. Use the edition links in the creator’s release and check the exact package terms before installing.

Know what the editor is intended to do
The creator lists handling adjustments, presets, diagnostic reports, a Dynotech system, configurable area rules and XML export for handling.meta. These are release descriptions, not independently measured performance results. A handling value is not a guarantee of a particular road speed; vehicle mass, traction, gearing and other active modifications affect the result.
Check the release before following old instructions
The creator’s 7 July 2026 changelog reports fixes for displayed handling values and settings lost after reconnecting, plus NUI focus improvements. It also describes combinations.lua and fields.lua for related-value guidance and interface documentation. Confirm those files and changes in your entitled edition instead of assuming an older download includes them.
Test export, persistence and access
Back up the vehicle’s original handling.meta and the editor configuration. Follow the package’s actual resource name, dependencies and access settings; do not invent an ensure command or grant all players tuning access. Change one setting at a time on a separate server, export the result and compare the XML with the baseline. Test reconnects, restarts and another player’s view of the same vehicle.
Check mouse focus, closing the editor, area restrictions, preset reuse and interactions with other handling scripts. Restore the baseline if tuning is inconsistent. We reviewed the creator’s release and changelog; the Tebex package pages returned access restrictions during verification, so no current checkout price, downloaded package inspection or in-game validation is claimed.
