FiveM - Find Players

How to Find Players for Your FiveM Server

Find suitable players by explaining what your server offers, making the first session easy and promoting it in communities that permit server advertising. Start with a small group you can support reliably.

Prepare the first session

Publish the server language, roleplay style, active times, entry requirements and a working join route. Have staff available for a scheduled opening session. Walk through the entire new-player journey with someone unfamiliar with your setup.

Fix joining, voice and onboarding problems before increasing promotion. Give new players one clear activity and a way to ask for help.

Choose one outreach channel

Use an appropriate listing category such as the Cfx.re Server Bazaar after reading its posting rules. Describe real gameplay with representative screenshots and state when players can expect activity.

Participate where your intended players already gather and use designated promotion channels. Avoid repeated unsolicited messages. If working with a creator, agree on permissions, expectations and any sponsorship disclosure before the session.

Give people a reason to return

Schedule an event your staff can actually run. Explain the scenario, start time, rules and who can participate. Keep rewards proportionate to the server economy and avoid special moderation privileges for promoters.

After the session, ask what confused players and what they want to do next. Publish the next event and resolve the most common onboarding problem.

Measure the whole journey

Track visits to the join instructions, successful joins, completed first sessions and return visits with privacy-conscious aggregate counts. Record the dates and source of each campaign. A busy Discord alone does not show that players can join and enjoy the game.

Test one change at a time. Keep outreach that brings suitable returning players and revise channels that only create unsupported traffic.
