The .fxap file in a protected FiveM resource belongs to the Asset Escrow package. It is not a sound configuration, a graphics preset or an FPS optimization. Keep it with the resource exactly as supplied by its authorized source.

Why a transfer can break the resource
Files beginning with a dot can be hidden by file managers and transfer clients. A resource that worked in the original archive may fail after upload if .fxap was omitted. Enable display and transfer of hidden files, then compare the uploaded resource with the original package.
Do not rename, generate or replace this file with one from another resource. Restore the complete authorized package if files are missing or damaged.
Diagnose the actual error
- Read the first error in the server console and record the resource name and artifact version.
- For verification or missing-file errors, re-extract the authorized download and transfer all files, including hidden files. Check file permissions and the creator’s installation instructions.
- For an entitlement error, verify that the resource entitlement and the server license belong to the correct account. File copying cannot grant an entitlement. Contact the creator or platform support when the account assignment is unclear.
- Use a supported server artifact and restart the resource as directed by its documentation. Retest on an isolated server before replacing a working production installation.
What you can edit
Use the configuration files that the creator exposes for customization. Asset Escrow can protect code and supported assets; adding a file to escrow_ignore locally does not decrypt an already protected download.
